It was a beautiful wedding, Hinata's and Naruto's. The blushing bride wore a very traditional white kimono, and when Naruto saw her he nearly had a nose bleed. The ceremony was stunning and the reception was held in the grand Hyuga manor and was impeccably planned.
Neji, however, could hardly notice the rest of the surroundings, all he could think about was all the miserable socializing he was doing. As a member of the Branch family he was required to spend most of the reception speaking with different elders and their children, trying to make himself as amicable as possible.
"Yes, of course, we'd be happy to attend the introduction of your
The cold, night's rain upon her face contrasted with the warm blood that flowed from the wound in her side. She had been sloppy, careless, and overconfident; a part of her whispered that she deserved to be beaten, but she didn't want it to end like this. Her pursuers were catching up; even without a trail they were closing in fast. At least she had confirmed what her team had been sent in for, illegal human experimentation based on Hyuuga genetics. No chakra detection, instead perfect night vision.
One finally came within striking range.
"Uh Neji?" Tenten called to her boyfriend. She was lying down in bed, hands clutching her stomach.
"Yea?" he responded, stepping into their bedroom.
"I feel kind of nauseous, can you bring that waste paper basket over to me incase I throw up a bit?" she was embarrassed, but when you lived together you didn't have to be so coy about the realities of the human form.
Neji just stood there, shock evident on his face. Tenten wondered what it was she said that had surprised her lover so thoroughly until he spoke. His voice was low and raspy, also betraying his surprise.
"How far along are you?" The bun haired girl was confused by Neji's ques
The Panda And The Dove: Nightmares
She remembered when she had first heard the report of what happened to Neji in his battle when he was sent to retrieve Sasuke years ago. She had nightmares of him dying for weeks afterwards, not being able to answer him truthfully when he had asked her what was wrong. "Nothing" she had said, "I'll be fine." But being the forever observant person Neji was, he knew differently.
It was the fifth week of
The Panda and the Dove: Laughter
It was after his battle with Naruto, that Tenten noticed a difference about the Hyuuga genius. He seemed more relaxed and at ease with himself, was a little less (but not by much) stoic, and she would catch a smile on his face every now and then. Though still there was one thing she didn't remember having seen: it was his laugh.
Lee and Guy were usually laughing over something, but rarely did the sweet sound of Neji's laughter reach her ears. The weapons mister blushed for a moment at how she had phrased that thought, but shook it a way. Tenten was woman on a missionthat continued to fail throughout th
The Panda And The Dove: Connection
Neji and Tenten did happen to spend a lot of time together. The two of didn't realize it, of course, but everyone else certainly did. Their connection and attraction was one of the obvious things in the Village, like Hinata's affections for Naruto or Sakura's devotion to Sasuke. But like the blonde fox and the rouge hawk, the duo did not notice that it had become so casual in their home. They pretty much went everywhere together: the movies (in civilian clothes), shopping, the Hokage's office.
Lee would often tease that were inseparable due to the powers of a "youthful romance", which always brought up the
It was nearing sundown that afternoon, as Neji was training. All was silent expect for the echoing of the hollow post and the occasional grunt on his part. There was something on his mind that had been bothering him for a while, something that even meditation wasn't helping him with.
So he needed something else to distract his person with"You can come out now," he called out behind him, his focus still on his target in front of him. "There's no need to continue hiding TenTen," His voice had been level and not all too loud, but she still heard him. When her arms wrapped around his neck in a hug, the tiniest of grins reached his face.
